The City of Redlands is pleased to announce that the United States Capital’s Christmas Tree will be coming to Redlands from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, en route to Washington, DC The festivities will take place downtown de Redlands on West Pearl Avenue between Orange and Eureka Streets.
Each year, a different national forest provides a tree to light up the western lawn of the United States Capitol for the holiday season. Six Rivers National Forest, in partnership with nonprofit partner Choose Outdoors, will bring this special gift from Trinity County to Washington, DC, for the 2021 holiday season with a series of special community events underway. of road.
This year the tree will make its trip to the capital through Redlands. Supporters will have the chance to sign the banners on the sides of the truck, learn about the Six Rivers National Forest, purchase Christmas merchandise, enjoy free entertainment and more.
Hot chocolate and hot corn will be offered to the first 400 children in attendance.
Entertainment and activities will include:
- The Citrus Valley High School Marching Band.
- The 501st Star Wars Legion Costume Group.
- The character meets and greets Santa and his elves, the Grinch, Olaf and various superheroes and princesses.
- An outdoor photo booth with panoramic lens will provide free selfies with the Christmas tree.
- Free train journeys without rail
