The annual Corn Festival and Craft Fair at Rolling Meadows Community Church are back. It will be held on Saturday August 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Craft fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Entry to the field is free.

The menu has everything you can eat sweet corn, locally grown and picked just hours before it’s boiled to perfection and smothered in butter. The meal also includes your choice of grilled sandwich (burger, kid or hot dog with grilled onions and condiments) as well as a slice of watermelon and a cold drink.

Seating under an awning as well as outdoor seating will be available for rain or shine. A drive-through service to collect meals will also be available.

The freshly picked sweetcorn will be bagged for sale by the dozen or half-dozen. Tradition since 1957, this event is a source of community fraternity every August. The Craft Fair will feature many stalls filled with arts and crafts made by hand by local artisans, as well as other vendors. The Rolling Meadows Community Church is located at the northeast corner of Kirchoff Road and Meadow Drive.
