It might surprise the average person in Cornwall that there are, in fact, properties on the market to buy for less than six figures. With an incredible property price boom in the county, choices in the sub-£100,000 range are slim.
But they are not completely sterile. With a mix of properties at auction and apartments for sale, if you’re looking for a project or a small starting point to move up the property ladder, there are options.
Here’s what’s for sale in Cornwall for under £100,000, as of May 20, 2022. This doesn’t include holiday rental listings or condominium properties.

The most expensive property on this list, at just £50 below the peak price range, this cottage (formerly a rental property) is also one of the few in Cornwall for five figures that could comfortably accommodate a family.

To be auctioned, this apartment is right next to Penzance station.
Foundry Gardens, Launceston (Millerson) – £85,000
A two bedroom apartment in Launceston ‘in need of upgrading’.
Well Lane, Liskeard (Bradleys Estate Agents) – £80,000
A recently converted two bedroom apartment refurbished. Advertised as an ideal buy-to-let, but could be a family’s first step up the ladder.
Fore Street, St Austell (Miller nationwide) – £85,000
Another two bed apartment above a shop, this one is in St Austell.

Although it’s a gamble, this one-bed flat will be auctioned off and could be snapped up before it hits the £100,000 mark.

One bed studio in what real estate agents describe as “Sunny Liskeard”.
Mathus Court, Liskeard (Stratton Creber) – £63,000
A one bedroom apartment right in the town center of Liskeard.
Fore Street, Bodmin (Stratton Creber) – £72,500
Located in a listed listed building, this one bedroom apartment was previously used as a rental property. Another in the same block is on sale for £80,000
Longstone Hill, Carbis Bay (Cross Estates) – £77,000
Held under a Section 106 agreement, this studio apartment in Carbis Bay can only be purchased by people with a need and a local connection to the area.
Cape Cornwall Street, St Just (Andrew Exelby) – £79,800
This one is also under Section 106 and is a studio listed as an “Ideal First Buy”.

Offered to cash buyers only, this apartment directly faces the River Fowey.

A one bedroom duplex advertised for its proximity to downtown Liskeard.

This charming property is chain-free and shares a garden with other apartments.
