Otho to host Market at the Park on Sunday | News, Sports, Jobs

OTHO – Visitors to Otho can find a variety of things at Otho City Park this weekend. There will be freshly baked treats, homemade jams, local produce, farm fresh eggs and more.

The inaugural Market at the Park will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Sponsored by the Otho Betterment Committee, Market at the Park events will take place on the first and third Sundays of the month from June through October.

“We had a meeting and we just thought it would be a good idea to bring something to town over the weekend,” said committee chair Missy Ewing.

For Sunday’s event, Ewing expects at least 16 local vendors, offering a range of products.

Stella’s Coffee Bar, Mama Dee’s Food Truck, WOW Donuts and Pliners Kettle Corn will offer fresh food and beverages.

There will also be vendors selling farm-fresh eggs, homemade jams and breads, crafts, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple and more. Local gardeners will also be at the market to sell locally grown produce.

Ewing said she was looking forward to seeing Sunday’s turnout.

“We did little vendor shows during July 4, but nothing like that,” says Ewing.

The Park Market will continue throughout the summer and into early fall. However, this will not happen on the first weekends of July or September, in honor of the weekend holidays.
