Caps for conservative landlords, it seems | Property rental

So this government is going to cap social housing rents (Report, August 31), but when Ted Heath froze rents in the face of rising inflation in 1972, he also included private rents. As a quarter of Tory MPs are now private landlords, I guess that would never happen.

Among the clothes in my wardrobe that I will still love in 2027, there will be the Italian knit two-piece that I bought 30 years ago and which is still regularly admired. Growing up during the war, we learned to choose classic styles and maintain them.
